Last Friday I won the CSiA6 from the polk e-bay store for $250. It is expected to be here by Friday! Congrats Polk on your excellent service.
It is going to be a great addition to my system!
This year I added a 50" Viera Plasma and a DSW MicroPro1000 Sub.
Now I am ready to update the showcase.
Rock On

Congrats on the a6 - I run the CSi5 and it's excellent. How is the MicroPro?

The Micro Pro sub is awesome - and the CSiA6 showed up on Saturday at 5pm as I missed the Friday delivery. I opened it and immediately put it into the rack. I had the microphone waiting, shut off the refrigerator and the computer; and ran the audessy EQ.
First impressions - so much clearer. Its tweeter is so crisp and the low end really fills in the vocals nice. The audessy set the speaker to "large" so there is no crossover to the sub. I do not miss it. I think it sounds cleaner.
When it showed up I was just finishing catching up on HBO's newest episode of East Bound and Down. As I had spent the day watching this show waiting for the speaker; I thought it would be good to compare to what I was just listening to. His voice sounded so much clearer. I then watched Boardwalk Empire as I hadwatched the second to newest episode that morning. Again - the difference in clarity between my old CS245 and the CSiA6 was immediately noticeable. Being that this center is a reconditioned model, I have no idea if there is a break-in period, but I am very happy with it so far.
I then watched a few tracks of the Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds at Radio City Music Hall DVD which sounded real nice, but I hadn't listened to this DVD in a while so I wasn't really able to compare the speaker difference as noticeably.
The biggest change was noticed on Sunday morning. My wife was asleep and I watched a couple of different channels real quiet before leaving for my bike event. I could understand what the newscaster and weather person were saying at a much lower volume then I had to play it at previously to be audible.
That afternoon, after my bike event, I came home and my wife was watching the Eagles game. The announcers voice was noticeably more separated from the crowd noise then it had been before.
If there is one thing about where I am at in the journey toward audio nirvana, it is that while I am happy with how things sound at the time; when I do make a new purchase, I am always amazed at how much better it is.
I think my next move is to upgrade the old Monitor series speakers with new caps and resistors. Putting a fresh speaker into the mix, and switching back and forth between stereo and 5.1; the monitor speakers which used to sound more full and clear then the center, now sound less articulate.
Thanks for the congrats - it was a big item for me to purchase - especially now that I am no longer employed but freelancing, which brings a little more uncertainty.
Rock On Polk!
