Toshiba HD-A1 as transport?

Anyone heard if these hd-dvd players were decent? I've seen some sites claim they were built well, and were great for a transport. I currently have a sony c333es for cdp, but I can pick one of these up for cheap. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.:D

    Dont bother.I have one and it sounded horrible.(Compared to the theta)

    spend more money on an external DAC and you'll get your money's worth..
