I'm curious to see what you guys think of the RTi series and which generation you think sounds better.
RTxxxi(RT800i, RT1000i, etc.)
RTixxx(RTi70, RTi100, etc.)
RTixx(RTi8, RTi10, etc.)
RTiAx(RTiA5, RTiA6, etc.)
I haven't(yet) owned any of the current gen versions but I have had the other three in my home at one point or another. Of those three, I thought the more recent RTi's(RTi10, CSi5, etc) sounded the best. The brighter characteristic lent itself well to movie viewing, which is primarily what I use my system for.
My first real system consisted of the RTi70's, CSi40 and FXi30's. While I thought they were excellent speakers, the sound was a little bit too laid back for my taste.
My current system consists of the RT1000i's, CS400i and RT7's. I really dig the Tri Lam tweeters and feel that they are most balanced tweeters used in the RT series.
I look forward to hearing what you guys think.
