I also got mine today. Surprised to see "rings" for the tweeters. Cool!

    A couple of questions.

    1) I guess I need to break the passive rings in half? Otherwise it will be fun trying to get them in.

    2) Any suggestions for rust protection? If black paint is an option, where can I buy it?

Thanks Larry. The quality of these things is off the charts!!!

The passives have a slit in them, that way you can just bend them a little to get them in, then straighten them out once they are on the inside..

The "where to buy black paint" part was a joke. I think most will get it.

Well I finally got my rings today! Only say finally since UPS has been trying to deliver since Wednesday, when I missed them by 30 minutes. Yesterday I booked home after a meeting only to find they had gotten there 9 minutes earlier. Can't complain I guess, it bought me today to work from home awaiting delivery. Thanks Larry, leaving you some positive feedback!

    WOW !!!!!!!!!

Larry, these things way surpassed my expectations.

I must admit, I was a bit hesitant about getting them. Not anymore.

Anyone that is on the fence should jump in before they are gone.

This is being moved to the vintage speakers room since it's not quite an individual sale anymore. The best member driven product and/or offer that's ever come thru the door.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Do most of you do your work on these with the speaker standing up, or laying down.

Yes, standing up also. When drilling the holes, used some plastic bags inside to keep any wood drilling particles from getting on the fiber material, then vacuumed everything up after.

Good thing I clarified the "speaker" in the above question. When I mentioned it to my family as "I ask if you guys worked on yours stand up or laying down" I got a chorus of "if your laying down, how do you reach the top speakers". ARGG. Sometimes they are so helpful.

Hi Larry, I'm in the process of doing some upgrades on my SRS (from the wealth of knowledge in the SDA Compendium by DarqueKnight). With all the positive comments on your rings, I would like to purchase a set of rings for my SRS to install during the upgrade process. Please let me know how to order. Thanks, Doug.
SDA SRS modded: X’ovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDO’d, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...
