We had a discussion concerning these some time ago (but I can't find it).

Anyone own/ed these? Pics? Thoughts? Anyone have specs for them?

I did find a 2004 thread where Doro, F1 and others described the speaker as an RTA 11T....so, I will check that in the vintage files....

I didn't like mine at first, but it turned out that I wasn't giving them enough power. They are nominally 6 ohms and the bass seems to only really come alive when the speakers are really manhandled by some wattage, so make sure you have a source that is up to the task.

Aside from that, I feel that they are a tiny bit congested sounding in the midbass, but I do not have them placed optimally. They will certainly play loud and fairly deep - I make guests to my house beg me to turn it down regularly.

Monitor 7s sound a little sweeter to my ears in some way I can't describe, but the 11Ts are clearly superior in enough ways that I use them as my primary loudspeakers. I am running RDO tweeters, but I think the SL2000s sound pretty good in the 11Ts relative to the 7s. I don't know if that's a function of the D'Appolito array design or if it's because the shrill tweeter is balanced by a meatier low end.

I got a pair from a friend quite a few years ago. The cabinets where completely thrashed, so I built new ones of exact dimensions. I thought they sounded terrific, and used them for a year or so. When my daughter moved out she needed music so I set her up with a stereo system and these speakers went with it, and to this day she still uses and loves them.
