Does anyone have any experience with this unit? I've been looking into picking one up. From the reviews it sounds like a solid product. My monitors jell extremely well with my subs but there's always room for improvement.

I haven't tried it but I'm read up on it. It's a great unit also but I think the SVS (Audyssey) unit takes things a bit farther. At least that's my take on the two.

I have a SMS-1, Anti Mode 8033, and Audyssey Sub and have tried them all with my quad Empires.

Settled on the Anti Mode as it gave me the best SQ and output of them all.

Audyssey is excellent for what it was designed to do and you can shoot up to 32 positions in the room with the mic (need to use the Audyssey Intslaller Kit). It will take your sub output and calibrate it flat with it's EQ. And I mean FLAT. You have to get used to the flatness without a house curve.

The SMS-1 is neat that you can see what it it doing via it's GUI on your TV and you place the mic at the seat to calibrate. You make adjustments via the TV with multiple sliders to adjust the output curve.

The Anti Mode is one step and is completely automatic and take just 5 minutes to setup and be done. The mic also is placed at the seat for calibration. For me it does a house curve with great output and SQ.

4 subs might be the reason you can get them so flat

Audyssey MulEQ XT Pro makes any audio output flat.

Velo SMS-1 here and it performs very well. Try scoring one on A-gon and trying it out. The output of my subs is awesome with the SMS-1.

After doing some reading on the three different EQ units, to me the Anti Mode 8033 looks like the way to go. I like the simplicity of how the unit does it's thing & apparently from all the reviews I've read...it does a fantastic job. Right now my twin Velo's sound pretty darn good but the Anti Mode 8033 reads like it will take them to a whole new level. The combo of being simple, with stellar results & it's price...I'm game.
