Some of us find Lincolns "age appropriate".

I would grab a town car If I found a nice one. Ever see a 10 year
town car with 30k on it? I've seen them a lot.
That's a car that either has no miles (Old person car)
    or a buttload(airport rides).
I see a bunch coming out of DFW airport every time I go by it.
Big, comfy, no nonsense car. Runs forever if you take car of it.
Get it in black and lots of dark tint.

Long as you don't get it in "creme white" you won't look like the velcro tennis shoe crowd. I'm digging on the Chrysler 300 lately, and wondered the same thing.

I rented both via traveling so much and as Jstas said they are different vehicles. I liked the lincoln better, it handled very well and it has the power to get up and move when requested. Go for it I say. I used to drive a Navigator when they 1st came out back in the day.

i like everything about the new fords, aside from the huge chrome grills. If it wasnt for that, i wouldnt hesitate to buy.

I dont really think most (if any, havent seen the entire lineup) are old man cars anymore. Same with Cadillac...I love me some CTS-V :D

Lincoln is actually also 2nd only to Porsche for dependability according to JD Power & Associates.

Ill go ahead and say it.

    I love the Edge.

But that 2011 is absolutely HIDEOUS.

    Wow, talk about ditching styling.

Yeah, I prefer the styling of the old one better.

    How's your truck doing, BTW?

OK I have to chime in, the 2011 MKX and Edge are the best ride out there today! I might be biased as I worked on them though. That dual LCD instrument cluster is ours on both of those vehicles and the new explorer as well. The tech jump is huge on these new Ford's, lots of toys to play with.

I really do like the new look too.

    Truck is doing great...

Drove to Jersey, to Raleigh (basically 1,600 miles) and did not break a sweat...

    Just crossed the 153,000 mark!

Is that 153,000 with no engine/tranny rebuild or tear-down?

If so, that shows how reliable these trucks are.

I have had no issues except power window regulators (2), window switch (1), passenger air bag sensor (my fault), front and rear brakes, regular fluids, shocks, tires, battery, bulbs, ocasional fuse (again my fault), 3rd brake light leaking

The window issues and the third brake light problem are common problems with my model year. Everything else has been general wear and tear.

Oh well. Unless "taupe" is considered tan and not "creme white"?

The initial run of the MKX's had a fugly grill arrangement on it (looked like a very busy gridded out edge to edge oval) but yours looks toned down a bit.

I really like the newer grill styling, but that's as of 2011 so of no consequence to the 2007. I've been in the Edge a few times and haven't really had anything to complain about. The things can take off and have some pretty impressive handling.......enjoy it.
