Finally have my new to me Wright WPA 5050 in my system. Had to find something to set it on as my rack is not tall enough for ventilation and the shelves are 1/4 glass and she weights in at an honest 100 pounds.

Also needed longer power cable and lucked into a 3m PS Audio AC-3 off Amazon but I ordered a 2M they were on backorder so they sent 3m for no additional cost, $179 shipped.

Using some temp cheapy ICs as my Mits 1M were too short and have some 2M S3 shotguns coming from Joe A.

Have not listened to music yet but so far everything is biasing and warming up nicely.

6 6sn7s up front with a quad of 6550c and a pair of GZ37 in the back row.

A couple of pics.

Not much to see. Has straps for various ohms, 4 to 16 ohms.

I am really temped to remove the nickle plated tranny cover. Suppose to have Magna Quest trannies.

George, it sounds better than it should with the cheap ICs I am using. Should have my Mits next week.

Probably the biggest difference over the Anthem is more range at lower volume. The Anthem holds it own pretty good.

Have not done any serious listening just yet but I like what I heard last night.

Well, she does put out some heat. Trying to move this beast takes a serious effort.

Had the Wright for about a month now. Decided to try some Tung Sol 6550s, 3 hole variety.

They are everything I have read about the originals. More natural and sweet compared to the Sevetlana's. The Sevets sound good but the vintage TS are very nice.

Always love the needle-meter on tube amp. I was curious so I googled but couldn't get much info on this lovely amp.

Is this 50wpc? How does it sounds now with the MIT I/C's?
