so i have time today to hook up my FXi4s speakers. moving speakers around and trying out a few different things. gonna put the FXi4s in the front room. was looking at other threads with the FXi4s and i saw a few people put them above their main rear couch. i was thinking this would be good for mysetup.

80" from the floor and 50" apart from one another 18' from the TV.

uploading pics now.

im planning on putting the FXi4 above the couch where the black X's are at.

thinking of added the OWM5s on the sides somewhere.

roompic3.jpg

roompic2.jpg

speakers in the corner are FXi4, Monitor 40, OWM5, OWM3 and my Epik castle SUB. just seeing what will fit/sound good

roompic1.jpg

CSia6 was added to my front room setup. CSia5 is now in the bedroom.

LEFT is CSia6
middle top is CS2
middle bottom is CSi3

You may want to have that looked at by a professional.

    LOL

well i started off with the CS2 with i had the Monitor 70/50/40 all hooked up. then picked up my SDA SRS 2.3TLs and needed a center to match. so i got a CSia5. then i got a set of RTi10s for my bedroom and the CS2 was not cutting it. so i got a csi4. then i just picked up a new CSia6 so thats where im at now.

gonna end up posting the CS2/CSi4/monitor40/50 all for sale soon.

you think the placement of the FXi4s is good?

I don't know the height requirement as i haven't looked into wall mounted yet.....(I'll start when i renovate my basement and add Fx's) I thought i read you should keep them semi-close to head height, same as all over speakers but, like usual, i'm always wrong when it comes to technicals.

Thus, "Looks good from my house" :D

Before you start drilling holes, try them with a couple of good movies at the hiheight you have them in the pics, then try them lower - about 2-3 feet (ish) from ear level, and see which you like better. Use 2 ladders or something to hold them in place to test the different heights before you drill...just my .02.

+1 I would definitely try experimenting with placement first. I made the mistake once of just hurriedly mounting some speakers and then later finding out they sounded much better in different locations:o Not to mention having to fill some holes after my better half saw them:eek:

    +1 on experimenting as well.

Btw, are those couches from Ashley Furniture Signature store? I had your same exact loveseat but it was a cream color. That compartment in the center is great for putting remotes in :D

Can't recall the model exactly. I had soft polyester-type fabric that looked pretty damn close to leather but was as soft as suede.

Iirc, it was like $600 bucks for the 2 seater. Built-in cup holders and a storage compartment in the center armrest. It's big enough so that each person can rest their arm and not come into contact with eachother. Also forgot, they recline!

I'd say look it up online.
