Cable coaxial protection...

I have a SurgeX rack mount surge eliminator for plug-in cords but no coaxial input, that leaves the cable coaxial free, would a coaxial protection module protect any surges or anything harmful coming through the coaxial? What's the best way to set one of those up? I was told by someone else it should be connected right at the cable entering the house and as close to the copper wire as possible. I was also told that Transparent makes a good coaxial module protector, do any of you know anything about their product? It's in the link below:

Coaxial Protection Module (MCM) http://www.lauferteknik.net/cables/transparentcable/power_source_modular.htm

http://www.transparentcable.com/home-ent/home-ent_products.php?catID=2&modCAT=1

On the second link scroll down and click on "POWER CONDITIONING AND SURGE PROTECTION" and then click on "signal transmission sources".
