Hello everyone
I recently posted a few questions about the RM 705 since Im having my first HT, however I have a new setup in mind and I would be deeply thankful if you could give me your honest opinions
This is what I got so far
Center: polk CS10
Front: polk monitor 50's
Surround: polk RM 6751 (here's the matter, you guys think they would be the correct option or they're too crappy?)
Subwoofer: PSW10
They all would be hooked up to a Denon AVR 391
As you can tell, my budget is quite short so I must find a nice but cheap option and those speakers, all of them are with crazy discounts at amazon and newegg(i.e rm6751 are $40 ea and the sub was 250 now is 90 bucks)
Oh and could somebody please tell me the RMS of the monitor 50? Thanks!

if you're trying to stay within your budget.. the RM 6751 for surrounds will be fine. not ideal, but they will get the job done.
surrounds are not quite as important as fronts, and center matching speakers.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

thanks danger boy, i just found these
Monitor 30

the pair is for $99 and i think theyre better than the 6751 for surround.... right? -
Ive been seeing some Tsi 100s real cheap on Ebay lately and you can get the Monitor 40 series II on Newegg for 119.00 on the weekends sometimes. If your patient and willing to
do some footwork you might even find something locally really cheap. In a constant state of upgrade fever. -
Sweet deal jt45, and you can get from newegg the monitor 60 for 110 each however being my room so small i want the HT to sound OK to GOOD not looking for anything excellent-near perfect..... i dont wanna go deaf either
What i havent found yet is the RMS of the monitors 50.... wanna make sure the denon can handle them -
WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!
The M50s have an 89db efficiency rating and are NOT that hard to drive. Polk rates the power handling between 20 and 150 watts (those stats however don't mean they can't handle more).

Your Denon should be able to handle them fine even though that's an entry model!
You might not want to go too big in the back because that AVR does not have a lot of reserve power. M30s would be fine there!
Have fun!

I have two polk 40 monitors, (Bi-Wire), and wander if I can wire them up to replicate a good center speaker.
Am I crazy, or has anybody tried this? -
My room is 15' l x 11' w.... yeah small
newegg sells the monitor 60 for $110 and seems a sweeeet deal, however the amp recommended is 20 - 200... The denon 391 according to denon's site is 75 per channel (110 says amazon description)
what do you recommend me to do: A) get the denon 391 and go for the pair monitor 60 that maybe it can handle'em or denon 391 and stay with monitor 50??
low budget doesn't allow me to spend $100 more on the denon 591, so what should i do?
thank u!
EDIT: i checked denons avr 591 and it handles the same watt per channel than avr 391.... the denon avr 791 is 90 watt per channel, but is $500
what amp and watt range do i need to get the best of the M60's?
