tube CD player question

I'm looking at a Carver 390t tube CD player with coax output.
My question here is.. I will be hooking said CD player to a tube DAC using a coax cable. IF I do this... will the coax cable bypass the tube output of the CD player? Would I only get the benefits of the tubes from the CD player If i use the RCA L&R ?
I'm trying to go tube all the way down the line.. tube CD player.. tube DAC, and then later tube amp.
thoughts, comments, funny stories all welcome.

The tubes would be part of the output stage of the cd player. You would only have use of the transport, so just find a quality transport for your DAC."The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

jrausch,
thanks buddy. I wasn't sure about that or not. Not having to buy a tube CD player will save me some $ in the long run.
now, what transport to get? i'm only looking at used ones.
why are they called transports and not CD players? is there any diff?
Here is a short list of brands i'm currently checking out online.
NAD
Carver
Integra
Marantz
CAL (delta to mate with the tube Dac)
Cambridge Audio
maybe Denon and Adcom too.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

a transport does not have an internal DAC. You will only have PCM out either from xlr/rca dig coax or light pipe.
A transport requires an external DAC of some sort.
If you buy a Tube CD player can can really get into a 1 to 1 comparison with your existing DAC and you will have 2 options for play.
I have my Cal Labs connected to my DAC via xlr and the analog connected to my h/k and can switch between the 2 via my remote. Its fun when friend come over to play around like that.
Over Kill it is but keep in mind this is a hobby and one can never have enough toys.:D
