Purchased these and used them for a short time and they went right back into their original boxes.

I was originally holding on to them for someone but it's been a while since I've heard from him and I need to make some room so here they are up for sale.

I want to say that they're most likely not even broken in since they've seen less than half a day of use from their original owner (HB27) and just as much time by me.

They are in excellent condition. They put out a nice soundstage and image very well when positioned properly. Had them hooked up to a Peachtree Decco and it easily pushed them to high-levels with amazing bass (from 6 1/2" woofers).

Asking $200 cash or paypal (I'll eat the fee).

Local only since it'll be too costly to ship them. Can deliver within reasonable distance if you cover gas.

That's the only con, they don't come off :(

The V3's allowed for the removal of grills, not the V2's.

Will say though for the money they sound pretty damn good but I need a new amp for my car stereo and room in the closet :D

Wow, that was quick. What are you using for speakers now?

Don't have an amp or a pre so nothing atm.

Been focusing on car performance+car audio :p

The SR6500's I've got in the car now are good enough for me.

I'm not chiming in because they were my speakers but...

They're a heck of a good sounding speaker. Very Very musical, excellent range in 2 channel use and excel in HT use. I'm not a HT guy but they were accurate, open and detailed, and FAST in movies.

Concealer 404 "BEN" came by on a saturday and we fired them up on a Marantz 2230 used as an amp and my McAlister ML-33 pre. About 2 hours into our listening and BS session Ben made the comment that they really "opened up" and the veil of a new speaker was lifted off them. I moved over to the sweet spot and they difference was obvious and noticable. They sounded very nice after the initial burn in. I played them sporadically the next day or two and after Ben's nagging me to spike them I finally ran to Ovation and picked up a set of good spikes. AGAIN, another nice improvement as the bass clearly became a very nice integration to the speaker. Upgrade in the bass for sure with the spikes.
Apparently Freddy hasn't used them at all to speak of and I'm positive they'll continue to burn in and improve even farther.
As good as they sounded on the Marantz 2230 I hooked them up to my Adcom GFA-555-II and 565 pre and they loved the extra power to the woofers. They never felt over 2 watts per channel while they were here.
This is a speaker worth having.
    JMHO,
    Harry

You could be, just take a drive out here :p

I do need to make space though, so if someone is wanting to take a drive I'll make a small deduction (to help cover gas)

    How about this.

I'd do a straight trade for some Monitor 5JR's (mint shape+stands) or some Monitor 7's (peerless tweeters preferred but not required).

Hopefully someone close by would be interested, but if these need to be shipped....you cover shipping.
