Screen shots are up

Finally got around to posting some screen shots with the new Panasonic 200u LCD front projector. The shots were taken with my FujiFilm digital camera at 8' from the 80" 16:9 screen and reduced using Dells picture studio software. The screen is a DIY Valspar gray made with blackout cloth.

The file sizes have been greatly reduced and do not represent the best in PQ, but they work.

No pics of the re-vamped theater yet but hopefully by next weekend I can get a few posted.

I have not yet calibrated with AVIA.

    There seems to be a lack of real definition in the image. Like in Satine's crown, the diamonds aren't defined from the gold on the crown and such.

    It may be the picture, or the compression, but that's what I see.

    Color saturation is very good though.

    Steve, it's much, much better when in front of the screen. I'm using a $150 2 year old ditigal camera, set on low-rez and then the pics are reduced further.

    Screen shots never due justice to the actual and if they did, it's take too long to download.

    Hey Ron-
    the screenshots look awesome.
    Those black's look great, I have heard sometimes they come out as a dark gray, but it looks fantastic.
    I gotta see a screenshot with a background, just to see what 80" looks like in the driftwood :D

    I wipe it off daily, thank you very much. Sheesh, I keep myself clean.

    I'm sure it's the compression of the pictures. How 'bout Ron pack that up and send it my way for a more "personal" introduction, I promise I'll wipe the man-chowder off.
