need some new rear speakers for my RTi10s
looking to upgrade my rear/SS speakers in my bedroom. mains/fronts are RTi10s, center is CS2 (looking for a CSi5/CSi6 to match) OWM5 are my current rears/SS now, PSW1225, Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi, XPA-3, Vizio 42" plasma, Direct TV HD box, PS3 60gig. MIT EXp-1 speaker wires, monoprice speakers wires/HDMIs/ICs
i was thinking a set of RTi4 or RTi6 would be better for the rears.
any ideas?
Thanks

I use polk rti8 for surrounds and they just hammer out the sounds and give a great effect to any bluray movie

i want something i can hang on the wall
RTi4/RTi6/ or some FX speakers
RTi8s would be nice thomole' -
Not sure if you saw it but I'd suggest the F/X speakers due to their diffusion over conventional bookshelves.
You'll have the option to set them as bipole or dipole to better integrate them to your surround sound.
If timbre-matching for surrounds is a must, then consider the FXi3 or 5.

For a bedroom the RTi 4s would probably suffice - I got my cousin some RTi 4s for his birthday a few years back and they sound great. I've got the RTi A1s - I listened to the RTi A3s in the store (they're bigger than I expected btw) and felt like the A1s were perfect. I'll probably hold out for a CSi A6 though. I'm listening to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours in 5.1 right now and these puppies sound beautiful despite their size. I was worried I'd want for the A3s, but not so far.
But like farmboy mentioned, RTi8s would work too - just depends on your space and your budget.
+1 for the f/x speakers too.ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place

What is not working for you then? You have options as stated....let me re-read.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I think you're over thinking it all and surround sound is not difficult. Don't get caught up in the upgrade to just upgrade mantra. Anyone in this hobby has experienced a cause and effect problem at some point.
Step back, and really look at what you want...and what the objective is. Stay focused on what you want to do. It's really easy to get weirded out if you hang out here, no offense to members, but we all have different objectives.
