Trip Ideas

Just looking for some ideas for a trip I want to take next year. I either want to go somewhere warm and tropical or head to somewhere like Germany ect for history purposes as I LOVE learning and seeing things like this. (or both?)
I would have about a week and a half for it all and would probably be looking at the fall time next year to go.
Also I would most likely be going by myself (or at most 2 other people maybe)so something that is rather easy to navigate and not having to know the local tongue would be the best.
For a Euro trip I would like ideas of places to go and stay that would give me good history places I can travel to, see, do ect. I could easily spend a day in a old town just looking and reading about different things ect. But could go out and enjoy the town at night and have a night life when I would want to.
For the tropical I just want a place I can chill, not be bothered by people but still go out and have a night life. I would rather not go to a place that everyone always goes to, but something different, if that is even possible these days lol.
I'm just looking for ideas at this point to see what prices are like, and what I could all do and what others have done themselves.

DISNEYLAND!
In Japan of course."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. He said: "Let's face it - there's evidence to support it."Best Buy is for people who don't know any better. Magnolia is for people who don't know any better and have more money to spend.

Stub your big toe on the corner of the bed. That always produces an interesting trip. Film it if you can and share with the rest of us so we can laugh at....I mean live vicariously through you!Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -

Disney was fun down in FL when I went. I never knew they had adult Disney either after the sun goes down, that was fun lol -
I don't know about Disney but you shouldn't discount the potential for informative entertainment within the US boarder.
If "cows and cheese" means Wisconsin then not too far from you is the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Located in Dearborn MI it has one of the finest collections of historic artifacts (American) and a fantastic living history village that can be a real blast with the family.
(man that was one cheesy pitch)

My wife and I went to Costa Rica a couple years back. It was absolutely the best vacation we ever had. Amazing scenery, wildlife, beaches, etc. People are friendly and most speak English. The food was actually pretty good, nothing too exotic.
When we visited we did a guided tour for 10 days and seen a couple of volcanoes, both coast lines, tropical rain forests, beaches, etc.
My wife also went there before on her own (before we were together) and had a great time. She went zip-lining, hung out at the beach, etc. So there are a couple of options, guided tour or solo.
We will definitely go back there again sometime. I highly recommend Costa Rica. -
Try London and Paris, then hit Bermuda on the way back. Grenada is also a really cool island.

Costa Rica would be fun. I had a few friends that went there and loved it.
I was looking to go more outside the US. I like doing the stuff here, but I've wanted to get to a different country for a very long time, now its just trying to figure out which one to go to lol.
France would be fun as I still have family over there that I've never met so that would be fun, however they don't speak English very well (some not at all) so that would be interesting...
