Grills on unless I have to prove to others that it really is just one tweeter, two MW's and a passive that sounds so good;)

I ususally add the fact that the largest active driver is only 6.5 driver.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Some brands of speakers were designed and shipped by the manufacturer with no grilles. Polk was not one of those brands.

    Grilles on.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

    *Grabs popcorn*

    Grills always stay on.

But that is just to hide the fact that I replaced the passive radiator on the left side of my 1C's with an authentic Scottish Bagpipe. It takes a lot more air to really get that thing moving, so I bridged 4 1000 watt car amps I found on CL for $20 each, and I run them from a diesel powered DC generator that sits in the next room. I am planning on putting in some car batteries, so I can listen to it without the generator running, but it still sounds AWESOME, especially when I watch Braveheart in true Dolby 5.1 on laserdisc. I think the bagpipe really adds to the authenticity during battle scenes, and I am considering replacing the other one.

P.S. Thanks to Larry for the rings, they came in yesterday, and my bagpipes have never been more firmly attached! Before the rings, I never got any air through the bass drone reed, but now it is humming merrily away.
