fxi a6 vs fxi a4
I recently purchased the Rti a5 towers and the csi a6 center. Should I get the fxi a4 or 6's for my rear surrounds ordoes it really not matter?

Both will work just fine with your setup.

If you can fit them, the A6's are obviously better speakers. I have the same setup and its great for HT.Home TheaterRTiA5 - CSiA6 - FXiA6 - PSW650 - Pioneer Elite SC-55 - Carver AV-505 - Sony 46" 120Hz - Monster HP 2400 - Xbox 360 - Playstation 32 ChannelPolk RTA 15TL - Harman Kardon HK3485 - HK DVD48 - Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables

Are the fxi's better or Rti a1's as surrounds? I'm just trying to get the best for the money.

I used 5 1/4" bookshelves for rears for a couple years, and now after getting FXiA6's I can't believe how much better they are. The dispersion across the rear is seamless now, I have a hard time hearing the location of the speakers. For HT, I strongly recommend the FXi's. If 5 channel music is your thing, then the Bookshelves might be better for you.Home TheaterRTiA5 - CSiA6 - FXiA6 - PSW650 - Pioneer Elite SC-55 - Carver AV-505 - Sony 46" 120Hz - Monster HP 2400 - Xbox 360 - Playstation 32 ChannelPolk RTA 15TL - Harman Kardon HK3485 - HK DVD48 - Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables

This will be more for theater use so I guess I'' go for the fsi a6. Do you know if there is a big sound difference between 5.1 and 7.1?

That depends on the size of your room and available speaker placement. For small rooms, you won't hear much of a difference. If you have the space and the coin, give it a try. 7 is > 5 after all.Home TheaterRTiA5 - CSiA6 - FXiA6 - PSW650 - Pioneer Elite SC-55 - Carver AV-505 - Sony 46" 120Hz - Monster HP 2400 - Xbox 360 - Playstation 32 ChannelPolk RTA 15TL - Harman Kardon HK3485 - HK DVD48 - Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables
