I just spotted this airship several days ago here in the Bay Area....

    Funny you should post this. I had never seen one in person before and saw it twice in one month! Down in Oregon when we were on vacation and then back home in Seattle where they were hauling people around on tours, would have gone on one but way too pricey. However, they are so cool to see and watch :D

    There is a derigabel factory in Elizabeth City, NC near the Va. state line.

    It is based at Moffett Field in Mountain View. It is primarily used for a business that gives rides around the area. Of course, a ride costs beaucoup bucks, and they started the business right when the economy went to crap. I'm surprised they are not bankrupt yet.

    The hangars for them at Moffett are extreme looking buildings, as opposed to the original zeppelin hangars at Lakehurst.

    Northrop Grumman was awarded the contract to build these for the Army in June. Set for deployment in 18 months.
