I purchased a Parasound amp that didn't come with the original power cord, so I'm looking for anyone that might have 1 of these cables lying around or know where I could find 1.
Here is a post on Audiogon for the power cord, unfortunately these are sold out.

No problem, I have two parasound amps an 1205a and 855a and they both have 16 awg power cords and both work great!
If I were in your shoes I'd just grab a 14 awg one off monoprice for a dollar or two plus shipping and while your at it grab some other stuff as well since the shipping is basically flat rate.

Funny you should mention Monoprice because that was the first place I went to when I started this quest. They are great for stuff like this.....
I have 2 Parasound 2205at's and I just picked up a third 2205a, and the difference between the original 12g power cords and the 14g wire that the seller gave me for the 3rd amp is quite noticeable.
This amp takes a lot of juice and it has to power a couple of RT3000p's and a CS1000p and it's running off it's own 20amp circuit....so I'm a little hesitant in using anything less than the original spec'd cord to power it.
I'm probably being overly cautious, but I'm weird like that anyway.
Your 1st link was right on though...thanks again.

I've got a Parasound 1200 mkII and I replaced the pc with a Pangea AC-9 and so far, I'm pleased with it.

Holy crap!!! Three of those, ya those embarass my amp! The 1205a and 855a... I'd love to hear your setup one day. Are you using all 3 in one setup?
Slightly cheaper one on ebay in blue instead of red...

At present I'm still in the process of putting it all together, but yes I plan on using all 3 amps (in addition to 2 HCA1000a's) to power an 11.2 setup. It might take awhile to get this all done but I will get there eventually.pioneercrazed wrote:Slightly cheaper one on ebay in blue instead of red...

It is cheaper but the length is short by 1 foot. I need at least 5-6 feet to comfortably reach the outlet. Great looking cord in blue.Polkie2009 wrote:I've got a Parasound 1200 mkII and I replaced the pc with a Pangea AC-9 and so far, I'm pleased with it.
I saw that cord on Audio Advisor.....a bit too pricey for my small wallet. Looks good though.

I liked the look (especially the 20amp version) and price of those cables but they are only 3' feet in length. The ones on the ebay link are 5' feet and cheaper.
When they arrive I'll let you know how they stack up against the original pc's.
