B&K AVR-202 5 channel

This is a great unit that seems to have more power than its rating. It plays music and movies with tremendous clarity without being sterile. It has DD and DTS and a number of other stereo and surround modes. 105 watts x 5. Manual below.
This and my Ref 20 played the best music/HT I have heard with my 6+ systems. Cosmetically, it is excellent. B&K has a couple quirks You can get pops when you turn on and when you switch sources. They tell me this is normal and no problem. I was getting some static from the right rear channel in sleep mode...but I have rewired and put in another system and now don't have that problem. It never occurred when on. Also, if you switch from DD to DTS or vice versa you need to toggle through modes to get to surround and it changes to new format. I might have set something wrong, because it should detect automatically.
If there is interest, I will post and/or email high res pics.
I have seen a wide range of prices on this unit since it has no HDMI and no DVD Audio multi-channel inputs...but is a bargain for great sound (IMO).
I need to reduce the number of receivers and got no hits on my Denon 5800....so, this guy is next in line.
$350 shipped to CONUS. PM or email mms3rd@hotmail.com

Pics. I can find no issues with the cosmetics on this AVR.
Just a digression....I really like the linear nature of the speaker connections....others, like Denon, make it really hard to make connections if you are using wire in the poke holes.

I've put a But It Now price of $225 on this PLUS shipping to CONUS. Be happier to sell here though. Has remote, power cord and manual is in the house. Polk price is $200. Sold As Is based upon description above but will not be DOA. You can return within 10 days at your expense if not happy.

The popping issue is a known volume pot and chip issue but can be fixed by sending it to B&K. It's not service affecting.
It's a couple hundred bucks but they do upgrade the entire unit internally, including the DACS...or at least used to do so. I had a AVR307 turned into a AVR317, which was the equal of a AVR507. Enough numbers for you? This is a great unit and a killer price.
I ran my AVR317 on a 5.1HT 4ohm setup with NO issues. The guts are solid.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Neil,
Does this have preouts? Do you know how would this compare to the outlaw 950? I am looking to get another pre to fool around with and am seriously considering this.

Thanks...that's what the tech guy said who looked at it for me before putting it up for sale.
As far as preout.....look at p. 11 and bubble 13

I have no info on the Outlaw comparison. If someone does want to jump on this, I will need to make sure no one made a Buy It Now purchase. Thanks....Mike -
This is still for $200 plus flat rate shipping of $50 to CONUS. Will refund any shipping fees.
I have had one bid at Ebay but can cancel sale. Or I guess you could bid there. A 202 sold last week on Ebay for $196+.

Mike, I got it last night and hooked it up. Calibrated it this morning. This thing is a beast. I have it hooked up as a pre with my B&K AV5000 amplifier. Couldn't be happier. Thanks very much.
