I cooked up a big plate of jalepeno poppers today, and they turned out great.

Now I know cooking these little guys isn't exactly rocket science, but I went and found a recipe online just to get cooking times and temps. Here's a link to the recipe I used.

Even my 17 yr old daughter liked them and she doesn't like much that I cook.

BTW, if you make these, watch out for those juicy peppers while you're scaping the seeds out, I almost got squirted in the eye with jalepeno juice.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

We call 'em Atomic Buffalo Turds lol. They're awesome on the smoker. Really popular snack food on the BBQ circuit :D

I prefer my poppers with chedder cheese, so I'm sure that could be substituted. :D

    FYI
when cooking with all hot peppers, be careful not to touch certain things or they will burn for a while......including your eyes.

funny popper story! I came home from work earlier than usual one day, and decided to see what was ripe in my garden. To my delight there was a bumper crop of jalepenos. So I make a plate full of poppers, wash them down with a couple cold beers, and a few hours later my wife comes home. She gives me a kiss and goes up stairs to change clothes. About 15 seconds after she kissed me she starts howling and runs to the bathroom to run water over her lips. After which she yells down stairs, "what the hell were you eating? My face is on fire!" God! That one never gets old! Ha Ha! ; )

Too bad I'm not allowed to grow jalepenos any more! : (

Made some tonight and they were good. Game wasn't but these were pretty good. I choose to make them however with fat free cream cheese and turkey bacon and still turned out good IMO.

I also did something different and also did some with aged cheddar cheese instead of the cream cheese and those IMO were GREAT. Great snack and seeing they aren't fried not too bad if you did what I did for calorie count and fat.

Made some of these the other night on the smoker with some dove **** from my trip to Amarillo at the start of the month. Good to hear that there are wild game/audio freaks on here. In South Carolina my hunting buddies and my audio friends don't exactly see eye to eye. Cooking and music just go hand in hand because if my music is loud enough I can't hear all those little suggestions in my kitchen.

made some more today. This time instead of cream cheese I did some Feta, and some others like coby ect from a local shop. Still were great and I love that you don't deep fry these things, helps keep them somewhat healthy (besides the cheese and I used turkey bacon again).
