Speaker Damage
The surround (outer perimeter) has a crack/split which travels about 1/4 of the circumference.It's at the corner of the suspension just before it attaches to the basket.
It is in a non critical area. IN other words when I push the cone back and forth,that particular area has almost no movement.
The driver sounds fine for now but I'm sure it will eventually split wide open. It has already split through in a small area.
I don't know how long it's been like that. The suspension is inverted(rolls inward) it's a rubber surround. Thinking of laying a bead of glue to mend it.Suggestions?
