The wife and I went to a bunch of yard sales this morning and I ran across a Paradigm PS-1200 V4 for $10 so I pick it up. From what I can tell, it's a great sub, but I'm still researching. I already have the SVS PS12-NSD, so I'm wondering which sub would be better for music and which one I should use for home theater. Thoughts?

Which one sounds better for whatever is really up to your ears, but damn man, that a hell of a deal!"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

That's what I said. The wife told her husband he had to buy a smaller sub, so this one had to go. His loss is my gain. I might move the subs around to see which one I like more in each room.

I have the V3 and I'm very happy with it for the 200 dollars I paid for it (used, minty) lol. I'm sure you'll smile every time you hear it and think it only cost 10 bucks"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Yeah, I almost walked away from it thinking I don't need another subwoofer. Glad I said it's only $10, because this one blows my old kenwood out of the water. I'm pretty sure me testing it out woke my son up.

I thought about hooking both of them up for "dual" subs, but I'm worried they won't sound good together since they're different brands. I'm really enjoying the sub so far. Probably the best $10 I've ever spent. Comparing the stats, it looks like the SVS goes lower, so I'm gonna use it for my home theater and the Paradigm for my music system.
