Some amps are in IHF others RMS,is there a difference. Is one more accurate than the other.

Someone who can type faster than me will give a better (more accurate) answer, but of course there is a difference. Otherwise, why have two different values for the same thing. The context is more important that the value.
Accuracy is a floating term, it could mean many things in audio, In addition to power, regardless of how they are stated (IHF, RMS, ?), there are other measurements that are equally valid, and maybe even more important. Of course, there is probably more than one way to measure and report the results. IHF = Institute of High Fidelity (An Organization which defines guidelines for testing power amplifiers performance, they have established graphs such as A, B, C weightings). It's believed to be more accurate way to measure and quote amplifiers' performance since not all 300W power amps perform the same.
Heck, we need to start reading these IHF in the SPECs but only a very handful manufacturer will provide IHF power for their amps.
RMS = Root of the Means of the Square is the mathematical function derived to calculate the output voltage, current, power of the amplifier based on the measured waveforms. It's more Universal method of quoting amplifier power.
