Very unique show. It managed to produce something that was intellectual and philosophical while also being entertaining. Great show, great writing.

Great series and you're right ,one of the best written in the 1990's, maybe even the 2000's,lol. I actually taped every single episode om my VCR, I think I was able to get 3 episodes on each tape and I think I ended up with about 40? something tapes in a box that I never watch, lol.

Did anyone ever figure out who Ed's Dad was? Wolf or lumberjack?
Great show. -
I always felt like it lost its way after the first 2 seasons. I saw the series finale though and that was lovely. I always found it a little hard to suspend my disbelief, however, as an Alaskan! The first season though, was incredible. And I cant remember the actor (I think he was on ER later) who played the guy who would just show up out of nowhere and was an amazing, but incredibly pretentious cook...god I loved that character. Who was that guy anyway?? Absolutely hilarious!Music and Movie Rig

I loved the show, but I spent a lot of time camping and fishing near Roslyn Wa (where it was shot), so I always recognized places in the town when I watched. My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Never missed it when it was on. It was always one of my favorites. It hasn't held my interest in syndication because I think you need to watch every episode chronologically for more cohesiveness. Not that the story lines are that different but to see how/where the characters develope.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Great show. My brother and I always watched it when I was a kid and liked it back then. Might have to try and pick up that series as it would be nice to see it again.

Not ER....Chicago Hope, I think. -
I beleive Julianne Moore was on a few episodes as a **** with her lover who moved to town early on - they were named Cicely & Rosalind - namesakes fo the town and bar.[

Great show. My favorite episode is the one where Chris flung the piano with a trebuchet.
