New Polks RTi8

I just got 2 RTi8 brand new speakers yesterday for half price. They sound fantastic. Now what shall I do with my RTA12Cs. They are also great but I like the RTi8s better. I want to upgrade my Polk PSW225 8" sub. Just tried a JBL PSW1200 with 12" speaker on loan to me...What a piece of you know what, doesn't even come close to my much smaller Polk. I'm thinking on perhaps a 10" or 12" Velodyne. Any thoughts on this or should I get a larger Polk.

I also picked up some Rti8's yesterday, and they paired nicely with my Psw505 for what it's worth. Don't get me wrong you can do better with a bigger budget but i'm satisfied.

how much did you guys pick them up for? Just curious...

Is the RTi8 the predecessor of the current a5?

I got a steal on them off craigslist. I got Rti8's, csi5, Fxi3's and a Harmon Kardon receiver for $550. I ended up selling my monitor 60's,30's and cs1 with the receiver for $650 the same day. Nothing like getting paid to upgrade haha. It is the predecessor of the rti a5 but there are a few differences from what i've read, i've never heard the rti a series.

how do they sound compared to the montor 60s? I'm curious, because 60's have an extra driver over the rti8.

Well, I read through that thread, but the guy was really asking about bookshelves. I'm not sure if towers sound different, I imagine they would... never had bookshelf Monitors nor RTi series speakers.
