First of all Hi to all, I'm new here and on a mission. My MPA 3250 amp is driving me nuts at power up.

I've been looking for a "Service Manual" not the user manual for an MPA 3250 searched hi and low and all I come up with is the user manual, I have that.
I've been having problems with the unit going into protection when it's first turned on (even at very low power output) . The problem goes away after the unit warms up and it will play all day at any level.
I'm quite familiar with receivers and amps etc.

Thanks
John Mik

    Excuse the mis-spelled title.
Thanks, I've tried a few times but got lost in the menu maze and only can talk to tier 1 tech people. You know, is it pluggedin? Are the lights on ... ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

I'm going to give it another shot today

    Thanks again.

I don't get any replies from Monster about this and when I call I get a run around...
    Thanks

Well back again .. this time I send the CEO of Monster an email explaining that their product was now obsolete so why is it that I can not obtain some sort of Service manual or Schematic. 4 hours later I get a full schematic of the MPA-3250 no manual and 4 engineers CC'd in the email. Other attempts have failed lately to contact some tech people.
Anyway I fugured the problem coming from the center amp. Offset was drifting around on power up. When it quiets down protection is fine and amp works like a champ. Moving the middle amp around creates the problem. Solder maybe, cable etc don't know yet.

Question is does any know if the center amp can be removed and the amp run aon 2 channels? I see a MicroChip processor on the end protect board which probably monitors all the fault functions. I have a development system for those MicroChips, I used to work with them. BUT not having the code is a big problem.
Thanks, if anyone has any ideas.
I'd hate to ship this thing $260 round trip to them to fix it on top of the cost to repair.
