I have looked at Bellani but not sure what exactly im looking for. Also have looked at yaqin , you know what they say if you've never heard of it, it's either a piece of ****, or the ****. So any suggestions.

Right now im using some cheap phono input. So im running a MM cartridge.
This is my setup

Denon DL-304 cartridge (using a DL-110 for right now)

I'd consider the Grant Fidelity P-307 Tube Phono Stage as its a great price and only has good reviews. Plus, Ian only stocks quality equipment, they can do in-home auditions, and he provides excellent customer service. Tubes also seem like they would be a nice aural enhancer on the Pioneer. :)

I've done a little research on this unit and had a question about the tube replacement upgrades people mentioned.

Were they upgrading the "Grant" unit? or has Grant already done so with this unit? and there are similar non-upgraded units being sold?

there are TONS of phono pres you could get. I have not heard of the Grant listed above however I'm diggin' the look of it. lol...

others that would be around the same price and I know people like to mod the crap out of it is the Jolida which runs (depending on the Jolida you buy from) 290-450. 6 moons did a review and thought it was awesome.

There are several others, used market is awesome too to find some. check out audiogon.com for several others.

That phono uses two 12AU7 and two 12AX7, all with DC filaments which is a great design and easy tubes to roll. I would assume that like a lot of Grant Fidelity equipment, it would come with Shuguang standard tubes which are decent for stock. However, they would be able to upgrade you to the new Shuguang Psvane Reference tubes for $76 a pair, not including their current 20% off discount and any additional discount Ian may be able to offer you for upgrading the tubes upon purchase. It is a hot looking unit though... :D

I have, use, and like the Bottlehead Seduction (which uses two 6922 twin triodes for gain and passive RIAA EQ). No-frills, gotta build it yourself, but great sound for the $. The worst think I can say about it is that the gain is a little lower than I'd prefer. http://www.bottlehead.com/store.php?crn=220&rn=429&action=show_detail

Jim Hagerman's kit phono preamps are also very highly respected and pretty reasonably priced as well. www.hagtech.com
