Hey Polkies ,

How about joining me in wishing Farmboy08 (my son) best wishes in his new adventure. Kevin just got back from enlisting in the Army National Guard.

Kev, a high school senior, is the ultimate Club Polk lurker. 30 or 40 posts over the years but he has read every post you knuckleheads have made and built his rig from the flea market.

Damn proud parent here;)

thanks and let him hear it

    SALUTE!!!

Thank him for stepping up to the plate and serving our Country, and thank you for raising a strong young man that understands freedom is only free as long as there are those willing to keep it that way.

Kevin. Congrats. Through basic training and tech school you're going to meet the weirdest people you have ever seen. There are some strangers across this country and you get a great cross-section in the military. Personally, I had a blast, but I like weird.

The Guard is a good deal. Let them teach you a trade, and that's that.
