Decide between 2 sets of used speakers.

I'm planning on buying a new pair of front speakers in the next week or two.

I've got a Yamaha HTIB setup:
receiver is a Yamaha HTR-5730
package was YHT-150

supports 8Ohm/6Ohm speakers

I've got a line on 2 different speaker pairs that I'm looking at:
1. Pair of Phase Technology PC8.5 (I think) towers (8 ohm)
2. Pair of DCM Timeframe TF-400 (6 ohm)

I've heard the Phase speakers, but I won't get to compare them side by side (different sellers). The DCMs are priced cheaper.

From what I gather, both are reputable speaker companies. Any input?

Well, gosh darn it, it looks like the decision was made for me. Someone bought the DCMs.

Not familiar with the Phase Tech's, here is a thread about them though. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=197374

The DCM Timeframe's are pretty highly regarded. I have wanted a pair for a long time now. I would audition the Phase Tech's and see what you think. Then maybe look for some TF's locally. I see them quite often on Craigslist near me, just haven't had the cash.

Funny, when I talked to the other guy, he had sold the other set too. So...
I'm back to the drawing board.

Budget - hard limit of $200, plus, perhaps, tax.

Will be replacing FR and FL of HTIB. Currently has the contents of the HTIB, including 4 cube-type speakers, 1 center channel speaker, and a sub. Receiver claims to handle both 6ohm and 8ohm speakers.

Current speakers don't seem to have a full midrange. There's a bit of a gap between the cube speakers and the sub.

Used speakers (Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor) are obviously in consideration. Only concern with used is that it may be difficult to fill in center, surrounds, etc. in the future.

    Usage breakdown:
    70% Movies/TV, 30% Music.
35% surround sound, 60% Stereo, 5% Mono - Content Overall

    Recommendations?
