I know a lot of you feel if you're going to go vinyl, you should go big or go home, but i've just been wanting to get something to pair with my Marantz for a source and a guy locally had one of these Technics for $35 that he had refurbed up a little bit and had put in a brand new Audio Technica cartridge.

I did a little looking up of the table and it seems to get a little respect over at Audiokarma, so I decided to pick it up and then since the only other LP i had was a demo LP for a swing/salsa/ballroom series, I went and picked up U2's Joshua tree from the local half price books.

now there was obviously some popping especially on some of the quieter parts of the U2 songs, but it was an enjoyable listen. I have no plans on using this as anything other than just casual listening, and If I decide to add a turntable to my 2 channel rig when I separate it from my HT then I'll definitely go with something better. but for now this should do me for a bit..
