Blockbuster renting new releases before official street date.

This has happened to me several times now. I call to get the street date of a film, I also look online, or, look on their message board behind the counter.

What they are doing is putting the dvds out for rent the day before official street. Today my wife went right at 10am (first person in the door) when they open and there's only 3 copies of Robinhood available out of 3 entire shelves. A couple of times I've gone in when they open and they were all rented out of new releases, no copies to rent on official street day.

Anyone else having this happen? If not, I'm calling BB corporate and ratting these guys out.
If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

They told my wife that today, that they didn't receive very many copies. But, once an employee told me that sometimes they put them out early.

No, the employees are letting their friends grab them first.

I once was a member, but Netflix is horrible when it comes to Blu-ray rentals, horrible. Waits, long waits and very long waits....no thanks.

When I worked for BB in the late 90s it was a big deal to control exactly when the first people could grab a movie. These things (putting movie out early/letting friends get first dibs/....even taking one for ourselves) would be grounds for firing.

    Those were the days
