Twisted Pair Audio BuffaloII dac kit

I have built 3 TPA dacs so far and will no doubt make more of their kits. The latest ESS es9018 processor is sweet sounding. Lots of sound stage but not fatiguing. The midrange is beautiful. The bass is more balanced and tighter than when I listen to the Buffalo24 or the Opus I had before. I use the Mux to switch between four inputs. There are 3 transformers and 2 Placids power supplies. One powers the dac and the other powers the Legato output stage. There is a LCDPS ps for the Mux. I am having some dropout problems that need to be sorted out but it sounds great. I use the Shigaclone transport the most, but keep thinking the Esoteric P-10 should sound better but the Shigi wins every time. I am making a larger case for the BuffaloII soon that will give me balanced outputs. Then the balanced LDR preamp! The torture never stops:D

    Great work again as always Jeff! I may have to take one of those "older" DACs off your hands one of these days... :D

    I really want to build one of these to run on DC with the rest of the 2-Channel DIY system I am building. I know it has been done before...
