Well today I decided to build some stands out of some scrap wood in my shop. The bottoms are 3/4" cedar with wipe on poly. The base the speaker sits on is 3/4" plywood with a 4x4 in between the top plate and bottom plate. Think I may shorten them a bit though. The are about 12" from bottom to top plate. And my "spikes" are wood screws! Yeah I know.....sometimes ya gotta work with what ya got!:p

Looking good. I bet they sound better with a little air around them.

^ I really haven't gotten the chance yet to have a listen. lol

I went back this morning and shortened the stand by 2 1/2". Lightly sanded the base plates and put another coat of poly on them. Just waiting for them to dry now. They look much better I think.
