Anyone familiar with these? I just picked up two of them and they are quite an odd design, I probably won't hang on to them for long but they're like one foot cubes with dual opposing woofers, hefty for their size, haven't had day time to test them out much yet but I haven't a clue what they are or the results will be.

Just wondering if anyone has had them or used them or knows anything about them. I've heard good and bad about Carver but this is my first piece of Carver / Sunfire gear

Listening to them right now actually, or one at least with my Ushers. It's a little boomy for music but it actually integrates alright, I can imagine these are beasts for home theater, being so small you could tuck them anywhere, they'd almost fit under a couch. I must investigate further!

I've had a sunfire sub junior at home for 12+ years. I'm very happy with it. I run all my a/v through it (mostly jazz/rock/dvd movies). The sound is great and the build quality seems excellent. But the small size is the main selling point for me. I have it paired with a Bose 3-unit system that is also about 12 years old (sorry, can't recall the name of Bose model--it has two dual "tweeter" units and a main "sub" unit--I like their sound but feel they require an additional true subwoofer). I feel this set up is giving me great audio range&fidelity but remains "stealthy" in my living room (i.e., it takes very little space). I would certainly buy another if/when I ever need to.
