Tweeters buzzing
I just noticed that my tweeters buzz and crackle a little. Rt600i's. Pretty new, about 6 months old. Could they both be blown?

Have you been driving them hard? What kind of amp are they connected to? Are you running them as fronts? HT or audio? New out of box speakers or what?Front

I don't run them hard, small room. They are in a 2 channel setup. Yamaha M-85 amp. I replaced them with my old speakers , no buzz, so I know its not the amp. They were new, but could have been floor models. You never know. The wiz went out of business. I'm calling customer service, if all I have to do is yank them and send them back, no prob. I like my old speakers better anyway, lots more bass. 21 years old and they still crank.

They should not buzz or crackle. I would look into geting them repaired as they will still be under warrenty and it sounds as if it IS the speaker. Does it do this with all sources, radio, cd etc...?
I understand you liking the old speakers because of the base the 600's dont pack the low end punch but when paired with a sub they can do amazing things.
Good luck at what ever you choos but please let me know, I'm currious to see what happens.Front

If I get or build a sub I might put them back. I'll post the outcome.
