Hk avr 7000

I know there have been comments on this unit, but I thought an update would help me as I am thinking of picking up a used one....either to keep or give to my son. Reviews? I have a Denon 3802 that I love and hear is similar??

    i've it, it was a top of the line HK AVR, it's massive over 50lbs. 110 WPC with very low distortion %. even today, the top of the line HK doesn't have that spec. your 3802 is not the top line AVR. I would say the HK will beat it. Plus between HK and Denon, isn't HK more honest with their rated WPC?
    how many AVR today that weight over 50lbs?

    the DSP on mine is out, so I can only use the 5.1 direct input. but the power is crazy for a AVR
