My 2Door Spec ran over hundreds of cars and pedestrians to get where i needed to go. I violated about 2000 traffic violations in 30 miles and i think at one point i was literally driving through the woods.

Why would anyone need this?!?!?.....i will re-enact on my way home tonight to verify efficiency!

Why do people ask such questions? Could it be it was done for the sheer amusement of the creator? Why is there something wrong with that? Is it because you see no use for it in your life that it is automatically reduced to a waste of time?

And people tell me I'm the one whose uptight.

As far as what the use is, I find it to be a tool that is quite helpful. Needs some refining but overall, I can see it getting a good deal of use by me. I am much better with figuring out where I am going if I can see a picture of critical turns and points in directions. Why? Being a creative person my mind works very much on the see and do principle rather than repetitive tasks like memorization. You can give me a list of directions but I may not understand them because of different mindsets.

However, let me do a trial run where time is not critical or let me walk through it on, say, Google Maps and I'll traverse that route like I was going to my grandmother's house the next time I have to travel it.

Just because you are so much better than the rest of us that you see it as a waste of time doesn't mean it is. Nor does it mean that anyone else who does find use in it is anything less. Even if that use is just to gain some level amusement or entertainment.

    Alanis would beg to differ.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Why do people ask such questions?
It's pretty easy to see why someone would ask this question. Is GPS not good enough for you? Are you going to stare at your phone while driving, watching your little car zip around corners without stopping at stop signs, not taking traffic into consideration, not taking speed into consideration.....etc. Just let me know when you're driving so i can avoid those roads while you kill dozens of people while watching a box on your phone instead of paying attention to the road ahead.

Explain to me how you are going to tell where you are going by identifying roof lines with that nice overhead view. Here is where you say "I SAID IT
    Needs some refining
It needs ALOT of refinement but still, to reiterate the fact that you should not be staring at your phone for pictures of buildings while you drive!!

I KNOW I KNOW!!...I've read waaaaay to many posts where someone writes a little quip trying to be humorous and then you berate them as if to help you sleep at night. Well my fellow poster, i have nothing better to do at this point in time so UNLOAD!! I'll read it when i get home, get a good chuckle and then proceed to write back as if i'm angered.

I'll see your rambling rebuttal in an hour. I'll make sure to get my popcorn ready because if you stay true to all your other belittling posts, it should be biblical.

Remember, you don't get anywhere beating a dead horse. :p

The point is clear. Some stuff is just fun to play with. The same reason I look up all the houses I used to live in on street view with Google Earth at work sometimes. I know exactly where they are and what they look like, but I still get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when I zoom into an old home.

Not everything has to be "functionally useful"....
