Samsung 1080 DVD player new release

This looks like it might have a "buy me" tag on it.
It takes a DVD and upscales it to 1080i.

    I read a review on this player last night in USA Today. The reviewer seemed to like it pretty much. He said standard DVDs looked as good as on his mid-level (un-specified model costing $200?) player and that there was in improvement going to the DVI cable and another improvement when upscaling. He also compared a DVD (Fellowship of the Ring) to an HBO HD broadcast. He said the HBO broadcast had better resolution.

    I didn't know it also did HDCD and DVD-A. If it did SACD also, I'd probably try to get one in a couple of weeks. And I don't even have a HD ready TV. Hopefully there will be trickle down to other brands.
