New (Velodyne) Sub In House and a Question (or two)

Just replaced my two Polk PSW111s with a new (discontinued model) Velodyne VDR10-BV.

I A/B'd the two setups using Dark Side of the Moon for music and Fifth Element for movies. Fairly easy call.

This was not my first candidate sub, but the deal was good enough to warrant bringing it in even if it ends up in the #2 system the bedroom. But it sounds pretty darn good. Still, thinking an SVS (when they get back to work) or possibly another Velodyne from a higher shelf ... but feel I've made an improvement and definitely bought some time for a few bucks.

Should mention the remote control is pretty cool. But do have a couple questions.

1. My Onkyo 707 has two sub outs. The Velodyne has right/left line inputs with the left labeled for LFE. I believe it is okay to plug both Onkyo sub outs in to each of the right/left line inputs to maximize signal. Correct? Better than one? No harm?

2. I have the Onkyo's crossover set at 80 and the Velodyne's set at (about) 120. Is this the best setting? Something better?

Volume matching with the A7s left the Vleodyne at about 35%. Definitely a larger presence that the outgoing Polks.

Appreciate all feedback.

Your x-over sub settings depend on the freq response of your main speakers and your personal pref.I have (full range ) towers, that supposedly go down to 30,35 all my subs are cut off at 40. That's my personal taste.
