Looking for advice on speaker upgrades.

In advance sorry for the wall of text, and thanks to those who can provide some help.

First, my current setup.

L/R fronts, Technics SB-LV80, Center TSS750 Infinity, Surround TSS750, Sub Infinity SUB750.
Amp: Denon AVR-591
Room size, 10.5' x 14.5'
Background,

Two weeks ago I finally upgraded my older Sony STR-DE695 in favor of the new Denon, after the upgrade it's become quite apparent that my speaker setup has some serious shortfalls. A couple of years ago I got a deal on the TSS750's and I've been running them since, I replaced the 2 in the front in favor of the Technics because the TSS750 L/R were simply "missing" something.

After reading around, and getting some olid community advice it seems that polk may offer me the best value for the money without a loss to quality.
After checking with some people, and reviewing the prices, with my current budget, I can replace the SUB750 with a Velodyne DPS-10 (used) for around $100. I could also get either a CS2, or CS1 from Newegg, as well as a set of Monitor 60's for the L/R, and a set of Monitor 30's for the surrounds.

I would love to swap up to the Monitor 70's, but I am quite afraid that they will fall outside of my limited budget.

If I went with the Velodyne DPS-10, the CS1, Monitor 60's x2, Monitor 30 x2, how decent of an upgrade would that be given my current system?

Would my AVR-591 be able to power that setup?
Is the Velodyne DPS-10 worth the $100 over my current Infinity SUB750?

Thanks for your time.
Matt

Welcome to club polk Nitra. There are a ton of knowledgeable people here that can give advice.

I can not really comment on the old speakers that you have but the monitor speakers are a great deal. I think that you will be very happy with them. The Denon that you have should not have any issues with them at all. Of course the more power the better.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

I have the monitor 60's, cs1 and 30's in my current setup. I originally had a Denon 591, then returned it and upgraded to a used Denon 1909 (equivalent to 789) and finally settled on the RX v1800. The 591 will drive them fine and they will sound better than your current setup. I agree with the more power the better and i noticed an improvement between the 2 denons and a bigger improvement between the 1909 and the yamaha 1800.

Hey B Run, what was your issue with the 591?
The reason I picked it, it was on sale, and the feature set for the price point simply couldn't be beat, I was concerned about the lack of overall power, but for the small room it's going into, it didn't seem that underpowered.
The room is around 150 sq. feet.

No issue with the 591, i just found a 1909 on craigslist for $50 less than I paid for the 591 and I had a month to return it. I was happy with the 591 but i did notice an improvement once i went to the 1909. You shouldn't have any problems with the 591, Denon makes a great product.

Update, managed to pickup a set today, got a set of Polk Monitor 70's for the front, a Polk CS1 center, and 2 Polk Monitor 30's for the surrounds. Only paid 500$ for the set, they are one hell of an upgrade over the ones that I had, I'll keep you posted on a sub.
