    Well, you sir, have great taste if you like Dire Straits :) I grew up listening to what my Dad listened to when he was a grad student. I still remember when I was a little kid, him playing the 'Love over Gold' record on his Dual turntable, through the Yamaha stereo receiver.

    I do enjoy long, winding, songs like the aforementioned Dire Straits / Floyd tracks. And it's even better now! I'm with you on rediscovering music - I worked from home today so I could listen to the system (yah I'm addicted now). So the music's been playing for the better part of 14 hrs today.

    A wall of warm clarity & surprisingly STRONG, tight bass. Addicting.

    I will say this about upgrading - because I was kind of buying things and learning from reading posts on here, I made a couple of mistakes: Onkyo M-282 amp -> not nearly enough power, Polk CS20 -> should have gotten the CSI A4/A6.

    This is probably it for a while, until the bank account is sufficiently replenished :) I do want to get the correct center speaker eventually ...

    Man, if you get a chance get the A6 center or if budget is tight look for a used CSI 5 center. It is a very nice center channel though rather big.You can get a used one for a pertty good price and it will match with your RTI a7's. Keep a lookout for one because you will not believe the front soundstage you will get and the seemless transition between the fronts and center. It will be a wall of sound that will fill your room even more:D

    I just went from an HCA-1205A to a pricier, more powerful Anthem MCA20 and I can't say there is a substantial difference, a testament to the Parasound design. Floyd's a good choice, but do throw some King Crimson at your setup!
