The Bruce Brisson Interview: on MIT Cables technology
By Dagogo's Doug Schroeder - an independent high-end audio equipment reviewer

Bruce Brisson - Industry leader of high-end cable design, lead engineer and founder of MIT Cables answers questions from Doug Schroeder who sought and received clarification of the cable technology developed over the last 26 years at MIT Cables.

Audiophiles on either side of a so-called cable debate now have the chance to read Bruce Brisson's explanations of cable characteristics, faults, and his solutions for addressing the inherent weakness in "just cable."
From Dagogo's website:

"Between the first and second quarter of 2010, Doug Schroeder and Bruce Brisson, founder and lead engineer of Music Interface Technologies Cables, exchanged emails on an article that Doug was preparing. The result is the present Interview article. Among the 27 Questions asked by Doug, Bruce sent a 1,371-word reply to one of the questions. The depth of inquiry by Doug throughout the article is unprecedented in Dagogo's pages, and the revelations presented by Bruce's extremely well written responses are an industry insider's dream fulfilled. Dagogo is excited to share this in-depth interview article with our readers. Because of the length and scope of the article, it will be published in two parts. This is part 1 of 2."

Gavin sent everyone who subscribes to his on-line cable company a link earlier in the week. I haven't read it yet.

I don't know what you mean there bub. . . and believe me I'm not getting sensitive. Just kind of knocked off my square there for a second by how quick you replied and wasn't sure what all the hubbub was bub!:D

    10. How does the switchable impedance system work in the interconnects? Is a series of resistors utilized? If not, how is the impedance altered to suit the component?

Sorry Doug, I won’t be able to answer this one for you. :-)
IMHO, it is a combo of "LCR" just like cable simulators / tester or even equalizer.

Do you feel better now? Are you done with the chest pounding on yourself? Jeeeez, you are as bad as the damned trolls sometimes Mark.

Maybe he didn't see the "other" thread. Maybe he didn't care to look to see if was posted already. Does it really matter to you or anybody else? We all know that if a thread is posted twice, one of them dies....no big deal. Hell, you've chest pounded that point yourself.

I put it in the "Electronics" section since cables are electronic components. :D

Don't worry about the duplicate post.

There have been other threads about the apparent non-usability of the search function. I guess it is operator error, but I never seem to find what I am searching for so I stopped trying. I know, my bad.

For example, I titled the thread "Interview with MIT cable founder", and did a search on MIT with this result.

"Your search - MIT - did not match any documents.

    Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
    Try different keywords.
    Try more general keywords."

I am reasonably sure there have been threads, posts, etc. that mention MIT.

I tried searching on the title and received the same error message

"Your search - Interview with MIT cable founder - did not match any documents. "

I tried the first sentence in the post and received the same error message.

"Your search - Received this email today - did not match any documents."

It was nicer without you here Tom. I'm not sure what moderator asked you to return to the daily activities here, certainly no one I work with but why don't you take another break. It was a generic comment not chest pounding Mr. Friendly Pants. It's so shocking to see the tiny gang try and pile on when you get razzed. You should pick easier sport or get a sense of relaxation and remote feeling of loose humor or sarcasm. I'm sure you would expect the same thing....you act as if we just met or something.

I absolutely LOVE this forum, and spend ALL my time here, the people are GREAT!!!.....but either I don't know what the hell I'm doing on computers (worked in computer graphics for 4yrs, and spend most of my time researching on this damn thing), or the search engine on here has to be the crappiest one I have ever seen!

I'm not bashing anything here. I already stated my love for this site. I just think if I was in charge of it...I'd want to know how my customers felt. :D

    Carry on...

The only thing I would like to know is, can I put you on the ignore list? Talking to you is like talking to a wall. Your snide comments are not considered "razzing" by more than I but that is a discussion I would rather not get into with you because it's no different than talking to a troll.

Get off your high horse and if someone wants to make a post [even if it's a duplicate] on a board that is not owned by you? Then for God's sake, let them.

I've put up with a lot but you earn the first "ignore" on my list if I can make it happen. Congratulations.

Ok, you win Tom, you're super awesome and a resident troll from my perspective of reported posts and behavior complaints. I get complaints as well. No one likes moderation, nor do I when it comes to a lot of stuff we should be able to talk about BUT since neither of us is perfect....and we're stuck in this corporate washing machine....I picked on Joe for not looking before he posted....WHEW, didn't know that was unheard of to do so.

Typed speech doesn't work....it just doesn't when it comes to things like this.

You seem to be on a mission of some sorts for the last year or so. Good luck. I often reflect on what I've posted sometimes but I don't really post that much anymore(compared to the old days)....however I do read quite a bit. This is a user forum...just folks hanging out, when did it become so personal? I think you might need to open a window or something.

Unfortunately we can't ignore one another by design...how poetic. Win some, lose some. It must be hate dorokusai month....it happens every year at some point. Happy Listening!

No mission, just being honest and responding back the exact same way you do [without the multiple edits] to other members of the forum. I'll be the first one on your list that treats you like you treat members. No harm, no foul. Just playing a spade as a spade.

If we can't ignore each other? It's game on. We'll see you on campus.
