anyone replace the sl2000 tweets in their RTA12's to the RD0-194?

title pretty much says it all.

just curious if anyone has done this and I assume with decent results.

I only ask because the tweeters sit on top of the sealed box.. unlike other speakers where it's inside the box.

discuss please.

Al, why would this be an issue? The RD0194-1 is the replacement for the sl2000 so yes, it will work and I bet sound fantastic. The reason it sits on top is for proper time alignment.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. I dont't know I tried 194s in RTA 12s twice and thought it was a little dull but it depends on the system and tastes . On the other hand the 2000 can be to bright bright in the wrong system
