I'm trying to identify these older Kiplish bookshelf speakers are in one of my favorite little cd shop. I always thought they were good, but recently the shop added an Arcam amp and these little speakers sound great.

any clue what model these are? What do you think of them?
The folks in the shop really don't know because they pre-date them. I wouldn't mind having these for my bedroom.
Thanks.

I've owned them. I just traded them off a couple of weeks ago. Good speakers. I've still got the KG .5's the little brother and they sound very good also.

Klipsch speakers driven correctly are sweet, but those don't even have the famous Klipsch horn tweeter! :p Picking up a new or late model RB-XX model bookshelf speaker would be a good option as they are good sounding speakers in a smaller room.

by "the famous Klipsch horn tweeter" do you mean the Electrovoice T-35, which Klipsch used in their "Heritage" speakers (originally with AlNiCo magnets, later ceramic)?

How do you think these compare others sonically for the price ?
Are there any Polks that are on par with these? I’m thinking they would be great for my bedroom. I’ve been looking on the used market with something that has a clear sound, nice bass, good for 2-channel and possibly work well for a future bedroom tv.
I purchased my initially lsi9’s with this in mind but soon realized these were best suited for serious 2-channel.
I thought the Klipsch bookshelf’s would be a good fit for this application and probably could be had for nice price. I’m thinking about a budget of $150-250 is what i'm prepared to spend.
I liked the sound of these Klipsch’s but should I be thinking about something else? Input for anyone is welcomed. Thanks.

I actually just bought a pair of Klipsch RB-35's. To me, they are the kind of speaker I want in a game room with lots of other noise going on. They are clear with good base but can be a little too high in the highs if you know what I mean.

Not to say I don't like them because I really do. Its just that to me, they have a certain purpose and there will always be at least one room in my house that I would like them to be in.

I say try Klipsch out! Like Zingo said, they can sound pretty sweet if they are driven correctly.

Let us know how it turns out.

Careful about using Klipsch speakers near field: I purchased a pair of RB-35 a while ago for my computer rig and found them unbearable. Those horns need some room to sound there best. On the other hand, when properly set up, they sounded great on the t-amp I was running at the time.
Lovin that music year after year.

Like others have suggested, you're better off with the RB line. The Synergy line is not bad. If your bedroom is small, the RB-15 is great.

I have a pair of kg 1.5's. They used to be my main speakers. Some day if I have a larger room they may become my rear surrounds. I love them. Inexpensive and decent.:D
