Where can you buy a Micro Pro sub these days. I am putting together a modest HT for some people and they need a small sized sub but I would like one that has a little umph to it and the Micro Pro would probably fit the bill unless someone has another suggestion.

The Micro Pro I demo'ed had more than just a bit of oomph. I had to readjust the paintings in the living room after we watched Monsters Inc.

For what it was, the wireless sub wasn't that bad, either. You or I might find it a little underwhelming if we were really cranking it, like after a few beers or when the family isn't home, but for normal people it would be fine.

That new HT set they have coming out looks pretty impressive, too.....

The MicroPro's are extremely musical/accurate subs.

Had one in a 2-channel rig paired with LSi7's and it was amazing. However, the MP doesn't dig as deep for HT and doesn't have much SPL. Still a worthy sub!

Wonder how the DSW400 compares to the MP1K. That may be an option for ya!

Keep in mind though, placement alone is half the battle so do play around with that for awhile until you set it up right :)

Should've bought the 4000, has plenty down low for HT.

The trick for this install is that it needs to be a cubic foot, or no more that 12 inches deep. I think any sub would sound fine to them but as Ben mentioned, they do have two teenage boys so it may get a work out when Mom and Dad are out.

Got a extra mp4k amp plate. Don't know it'll fit your psw1000 but you can have it.

Ya I was meaning to ask about that. Chris hasn't shipped the sub out yet (we agreed on sometime later) but I'll make it work with that MicroPro amp. Might just have to make a custom plate if the amp is smaller than the hole in it already where the old amp used to go.
