Comcast DVR and Instant home Theater

I have a Comcast DVR and when I hook up the Instant Home Theater Audio system to the DVR I can't control the volume with my Comcast Remote. If I hook the Instant Home Theater to the Sony TV Audio Out I can control the sound system. I need the code for the Instant home theater on the Comcast Remote. Can someone help? Thanks.
