Let me start by saying I bought the LSi25s and LSi7s PURELY for the sound,I know nothing of their internal layout or electronics. That being said, I am picking up some LSi9s for $400 and would like to use the LSi7s as a substitute for my missing LSiC. What do you guys think? I'm running an Emotiva XPA-5 and yes I know its not a rotel, adcom, mcintosh, blah blah blah, but it pushes the LSis just fine for me...thanks for any input.

I'm using a pair of LSi7's as a center in one of my HT setups. They sound great and are being powered by a Parasound HALO A23 amp (200w to each one). The 7's are not as power hungry as the 9's but like lots of juice. Very nice indeed.

If I had an extra pair of 9's, I would definitely use them, hell 9's all the way around would be great, depends on what you have. Try everything, that's what makes this hobby so much fun.

I can't speak for the Lsi7, but I have switched back n forth between the LsiC & the Lsi9 as a center ch speaker and prefer the 9 over the LciC. At some point I will experiment with dual 9's for the center ch and see if I like the sound.

I am running a single lsi7 as a center channel in a smallish living room and I think it sounds great. I rarely really crank a BD (mostly 2.1 channel music and dtv hd), but I have never had any problems with it. I would love to add a second someday..Peace,
