Toyota Tacoma recall

I just wanted to let any 1995 - 2000 Tacoma owners know about the frame rust through recall. I was just getting ready to trade in my 2000 Tacoma with 248k on it for 500.00 at the local Toyota dealer, when I ran into another Tacoma owner who informed me of this. The dealership wasn't going to tell me. I'm now getting $7400.00 for the truck. Call Toyota and they will actually help you with this. The Eau Claire Wi. dealership isn't paying for it so I don't know what the problem was.

    I got $12500 for my '99 with 130k on the odo last year just as we were looking to trade it in.

    Ous son in law's 2000 Tacoma ("Taco", as they call it) was recalled, very quietly, last year - Toyota provided a free loaner while they put a new frame under it.

    On the newer Taco's ( mine is an 09 ), we just had them move or change the gas pedal and it's height, and also put 2 clips in the driver floor mat to hold in place. ( they didn't vacuum it out like the letter said :>( )
    Guess, I'll have to break down and vacuum out the five to ten pounds of Folly Beach/Clearwater/Tybee Island/Hunting Island State Park/St Pete Beach and 2 area state park beaches sand I am still lugging around )
